1. Donation Refund Policy

Raasta Foundation is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to charitable causes. As such, we have a strict no-refund policy for donations made through our platform. However, we understand that exceptional circumstances may arise.

2. When Refunds May Be Considered

Refunds may be considered only in the following exceptional cases:

  • Technical Errors: If a donation was processed multiple times due to a technical error on our website or payment gateway.
  • Unauthorized Transactions: If your payment method was used without your authorization (fraudulent activity).
  • Processing Errors: If an error occurred during the donation process that resulted in an incorrect amount being charged.
  • Duplicate Donations: If you accidentally made the same donation twice within a short period.

3. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, you must:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of the donation date
  2. Provide your donation receipt or transaction ID
  3. Explain the reason for the refund request

All refund requests will be reviewed within 5-7 business days. We reserve the right to approve or deny refund requests based on the circumstances and our policy.

4. Refund Processing Time

If your refund request is approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10-15 business days. The exact time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

5. Non-Refundable Donations

The following donations are non-refundable:

  • Donations made more than 7 days ago
  • Donations that have already been allocated to beneficiaries
  • Donations made through third-party platforms (unless the error was on our end)
  • Donations where the donor simply changes their mind

6. Tax Deduction Implications

If you have claimed a tax deduction for your donation and receive a refund, you are responsible for updating your tax records accordingly. We will provide updated documentation if required.

7. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or credit card company, we will investigate the transaction. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in your account being blocked from future donations.
